The People Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the People Operations function within a manufacturing environment. Reporting to the People Director, this role assists with onboarding, maintains accurate people data, responds to basic team member inquiries, and provides administrative and front desk support. The People Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring a positive team member experience while maintaining data integrity, compliance, and efficient people processes.

Onboarding & Team Member Support
  • Assist with onboarding activities, including preparing new hire paperwork, coordinating orientations, and supporting first-day readiness
  • Serve as a first point of contact for team members regarding basic People Ops policies, procedures, and general HR-related questions
  • Direct more complex or sensitive inquiries appropriately
Data Management & Systems
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date team member records within HRIS and ERP systems
  • Ensure data integrity by entering, auditing, and updating team member information in a timely manner
  • Support reporting and documentation as needed
People Operations Projects
  • Support People Ops initiatives and projects, including team member engagement activities and internal communications.
Front Desk & Administrative Support
  • Provide front desk coverage, including greeting visitors, managing sign-in procedures, and directing guests
  • Answer and route phone calls and general inquiries
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, document preparation, ordering and/or delivering supplies, and coordinating meetings
Compliance & Confidentiality
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Support compliance with company policies and manufacturing site requirements
Requirements Required

Skills and Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with team members at all levels
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, production-focused environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and database systems
  • Reliable, approachable, and service-oriented mindset
Education And Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professional communication and customer service skills
Preferred
  • Associate’s degree or coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience supporting onboarding
  • Basic knowledge of HR processes, policies, and employment practices
  • Experience working with HRIS and/or ERP systems
  • Familiarity with timekeeping systems in a manufacturing setting

Travel Requirements
  • Occasional travel between the Ladson and Goose Creek locations required
Physical Requirements
  • May require standing, walking, or front desk coverage for extended periods
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times (e.g., files, office supplies, etc)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with production team members, leadership, and visitors, both verbally and in writing
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, or reach within the office setting
Work Environment
  • On-site role in a manufacturing facility, regular work environment will be in an office setting
  • When on manufacturing floor, possible exposure to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles. Eye protection is required. Fumes, machine vibration, noisy conditions, high temperatures, and occasional potential to a restricted space work area possible
