Valve Technician

• Test and repair control valves, manual valves, block valves, to include MOV's, AOV's and electronically operated valves.
• Test high pressure safety relief valves (See Job Description).
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Operate sandblaster to remove old paint from valve parts and spray paint required valve parts as needed.
• Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers, depth gauges and dial gauges.
• Perform service requests as assigned under the supervision of shop manager and lead technicians.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of tools and equipment into trucks and trailers using pallet jack or forklift as needed.
• Communicate and provide feedback to the lead technicians and follow directions.
• Follow all safety rules.

• Must be customer service oriented and focused.
• Must have mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of analyzing, evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving equipment and process related problems is strongly preferred.
• Mechanical related training is a plus.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer relations skills are a must.
• Must be flexible with work schedule and potential overtime.
• Must be able to team lift up to 75 pounds.
• High school diploma or GED.
