Title:

Team Lead
Time Type: Full Time

The Team Lead is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily operational activities, ensuring that associates in warehousing, receiving, and shipping meet company service and cost objectives. As an associate of DSV, all employees are expected to achieve performance, safety and quality targets and to comply with all corporate and site‑specific policies.

• Training Responsibilities:
  • Mentor and train new and existing associates to meet established customer demands.
  • Teach Standard Operating Procedures for shipping, receiving, picking and quality control.
  • Assist with forklift operation and certification.
• Shipping/Receiving Responsibilities:
  • Oversee unloading of inbound shipments, stack product, and stage outbound shipments to maximize productivity.
  • Ensure accurate paperwork and correct loading of orders.
  • Process all functions according to Standard Operating Procedures and resolve discrepancies.
• Customer Service:
  • Maintain professional conduct in appearance and communication.
  • Communicate with customers via telephone, email or in person.
  • Prepare activity reports for site management.
• Quality Control Responsibilities:
  • Verify product and orders meet quality standards, reporting damages or discrepancies.
  • Perform packaging, shrink‑wrapping and labeling.
  • Report inconsistencies to the Operations Supervisor or Manager and participate in quality meetings.
• Safety, Housekeeping & Compliance:
  • Adhere to ISO standards, safety protocols and OSHA/MSDS standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and security of the warehouse.
  • Participate in safety meetings.
• Labor Management:
  • Direct team operations to achieve objectives.
  • Assist with productivity sheets, payroll hours and scheduling.
• Responsibility & Authority:
  • Participate in department meetings and document non‑conformities.
• Equipment Operation:
  • Operate sit‑down, stand‑up, reach trucks, sweeper scrubbers, scissor lifts, cherry pickers, aisle masters, or pallet jacks.
  • Maintain equipment, report issues and perform daily inspections.
  • Hold an active forklift certification.
• Maintenance: Assist with building, grounds and equipment maintenance as assigned.
• Other Duties:
  • Perform clerical tasks such as answering phones, scheduling and record keeping.
  • Work evenings, weekends and overtime as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

• Education &/or
  
  Experience:
  
  
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year experience in logistics or distribution.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment.
• Work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse.
• Certificates: Forklift training program completion.

• Computer
  
  Skills:
  
  Basic computer use, RF scanners and WMS functions.
• Language
  
  Skills:
  
  English reading, writing and verbal.
• Mathematical
  
  Skills:
  
  Basic to intermediate for inventory counting.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work with minimal supervision, effective communication and adaptability to fast‑paced environments.

• 2‑4 years in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• 2‑4 years of forklift experience.
• Current or prior MHE certification.

• Occasionally handle products and packaging materials; frequently bend; constantly walk and stand.
• Lift/Carry 21‑50 pounds; reach above shoulder, squat or kneel.

Low to moderate noise; minimal exposure to fumes or chemicals.
