base pay range: $37.00 - $42.00 USD

sign on bonus: $2,500

shift schedule: 12 Hour Nights. This is a night shift position, with hours from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The role follows a rotating 2‑2‑3 schedule: two days on, two days off, three days on, followed by two days off, two days on, and three days off. Team members will work every other weekend, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Job Purpose

The Utilities Technician provides primary support for the operation, maintenance, and reliability of utilities equipment, including chillers, cooling systems, cooling towers, boilers, steam systems, RO/soft water equipment, HVAC, electrical substations, and low‑ and high‑pressure compressed air systems. This role supports an aseptic manufacturing environment and ensures utilities operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Operate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain utilities equipment.
  • Monitor, maintain, and improve the reliability and performance of utility systems.
  • Perform work order repairs, preventive maintenance, equipment rebuilds, replacements, and adjustments, including complete documentation.
  • Manage and coordinate work performed by contractors.
  • Fabricate, modify, and innovate new or existing equipment to improve performance and reliability.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure good housekeeping standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to plan, analyze, and improve process quality.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills / Qualifications Required

  • Proficiency in English: comfortable with both written and verbal communication, including reading and writing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post‑secondary education or technical trade certification.
  • EPA 608 Type II or Type III Refrigerant Handling Certification.
  • Boiler Operator certification.
  • Experience with precision maintenance tools and techniques (lubrication, alignments, vibration, ultrasound, etc.).
