Our team seeks a DC System Support Technician I to help us create better outdoor experiences by completing Distribution Center technical equipment updates, repairs, and maintenance in a way that supports the Company's business initiatives and objectives. Troubleshoots, diagnoses, performs, and documents preventative maintenance, repairs, and modifications. Maintains and contributes to asset management, inventory of equipment parts, and 3rd party service agreements related to such equipment.

This job also provides backup and support for other Facilities Maintenance functions. Models and acts by REI's guiding values and mission. Ready to discover better with us?

How you will be successful:

• Perform preventative maintenance and repair of DC equipment, including but not limited to Handheld and Wearable RF devices, radios, scales, Push to Light Systems, printers, Workstations, and Cubiscan Machines
• Develop and maintain service records, including scheduled and actual maintenance; document repair and RMA date, required repairs, parts, inventory sourcing, and cost in the applicable systems.
• Coordinate with DC Supervisors, Supply Chain Analysts, Vendors, and others (as needed) to schedule repair and maintenance services.
• Maintain appropriate inventory and supplies; assist in purchasing; order, stock, and document inventory in the applicable systems.
• Serve as primary IT Support for the Distribution Center team.
• Backup to Facilities Coordinator regarding PLC and conveyor system support.
• Act as a resource, assist, and be a backup to the Facilities team during projects and other situations as needed.
• Maintain Server Room and Communications Room. Ensure all associated servers, support equipment, and storage are proactively maintained to optimize the Distribution Centers' performance.
• Build relationships with the IT Infrastructure and Logistics Technology Services teams to maintain the best service within the DC.
• Maintain ongoing relationships and serve as a member on various committees to represent departmental and overall company interests; communicate company needs and expectations internally or externally; provide review, input, and recommendations as appropriate.

• Understanding Client Hardware and Software, Wireless Technology and mobile devices, Network and Server troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Ability to operate a personal computer using MS Office, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Experience managing parts inventory preferred.
