Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Supports Tooling Manager by providing supervision of daily tooling operations, solving technical issues, maintaining tool history, implementing safety rules, running safety audits, and assisting customers.
RequirementsCompleted Journeyman Certificate and 1-2 years of hands-on lead/foremen experiences.
Preferred EducationMinimum 10 years of working experience as Tool Maker / Tool & Die Mold Maker and a minimum of 1-2 years working as a department Lead/Foremen.

OtherRequired Qualifications
- Experience with a wide range of injection mold designs.
- Solid understanding of blueprint reading and creation of sketched shop drawings.
- Must possess leadership skills and the ability to schedule the tooling priorities for on time delivery.
- Strong background and experiences work on plastic injection molds.
Candidate must be able to complete the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to lifting, pulling, pushing and/or carrying up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a regular basis; climbing into confined spaces within tactical vehicles; manipulating and handling objects needed for installation: reaching, grasping, twisting, turning and manipulating equipment and tools within confined spaces, as well as walking, bending, stooping, sitting, standing or squatting for extended periods of time.
WorkEnvironment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and work in high, precarious places. The employee is exposed to heat; fumes or airborne particles;
Toxic or caustic chemicals. Work in this occupation involves use of protective items such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, a hard hat, etc. Exposed to hazardous situations involving possible injury such as cuts, bites, stings, and minor burns more than once a month. Work in an environment where sound and noise levels are loud and distracting. Work in this occupation involves making repetitive motions more than one-third of the time.
Work in this occupation involves standing more than two-thirds of the time.
