Travel Cath Lab Technologist
Vivian Health
Pay: $2,561 per week (subject to confirmation). 13‑week travel assignment in Goodyear, Arizona.
Start date:
01/12/2026. 40 hours per week, 8‑hour shifts, days.
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Cath Lab Tech for a 13‑week travel assignment in Goodyear, Arizona. You will assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab, ensuring patient safety and high‑quality care.
Responsibilities- Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, electrophysiology studies, and other interventional procedures.
- Assist physicians during procedures by passing catheters, wires, balloons, and stents, operating fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, contrast injectors, and hemodynamic monitoring systems.
- Scrub in and assist with sterile field setup; ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
- Perform sheath removal and hemostasis using manual compression or closure devices as directed.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including patient records, imaging data, and equipment logs.
- Assist with inventory management, stocking supplies, and ensuring proper storage of sterile instruments and medications.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocol and hospital safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
- One year’s recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech.
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
- ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification.
- Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
- Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance with state regulations.
- PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certifications.
- Other relevant certifications and licenses.
- Critical thinking and service excellence.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in English written and verbal communication.
- PC skills.
- Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push/pull, and bend.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse personnel and maintain professionalism.
- Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation during procedures.
- Capacity to cope with frequent patient contact, deadlines, and irregular activity schedules.
- Visual acuity for effective communication.
