Overview
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Regional Trainer role at Family Care Center. The TMS Regional Technician Trainer is responsible for onboarding, training, and maintaining staff on TMS processes and procedures, including traveling to facilitate training across clinics. Under the direction of the Regional Medical Director, responsible to update training resources, maintain trainer material, and conduct hands-on competency evaluations. Provides direct patient care utilizing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation including qEEG guided TMS.
Responsibilities- Train new staff and maintain existing staff on TMS/qEEG machines, clinical and operational procedures, documentation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Assist with tracking ongoing competencies for assigned TMS technicians under the Regional Medical Director.
- Administer TMS treatments and support patients during treatments using positive communication to ensure optimal results.
- Monitor for adverse effects and notify the doctor; assist in managing adverse effects including seizures.
- Complete all required clinical and administrative documentation to accepted standards in the EHR and as needed on paper.
- Assist with gathering rating scales and other assessments as directed by the overseeing psychiatrist and FCC minimum requirements.
- Collaborate with providers to ensure understanding and usage of proper treatment protocols.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and educate on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
- Operate electrophysiologic recording device settings where applicable; measure, calculate, and log recorded electrophysiologic information.
- Follow clinical and operational processes in accordance with workflows and SOPs.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years TMS Tech experience or equivalent.
- EHR experience preferred.
- FCC TMS certification required. Training in Brainsway, Mag Venture, Appollo and MeRT required. TMS training certification required after 90 days of employment.
- Current driver’s license.
Travel within the Arizona Region; regional sites may require occasional travel outside regions.
