Medical Oncology Advanced Practice Provider

City of Hope – a leading comprehensive cancer center founded in 1913 – is seeking a Medical Oncology Advanced Practice Provider to join our team. We provide world‑class cancer and diabetes care, cutting‑edge research, and a collaborative, patient‑centered treatment environment across our Los Angeles campus, Southern California network, and outlying centers in Atlanta, Chicago, and Phoenix.

• Utilize critical judgment to perform comprehensive health assessments and differential diagnoses, including ordering, conducting, interpreting diagnostic and laboratory tests, and prescribing pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic treatments for acute and chronic illnesses.
• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests to determine and prioritize diagnoses using complex clinical reasoning.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans that include interventions and treatments to achieve expected outcomes.
• Address strategies for improving health status, involve patients, families, and the healthcare team, including community resources, in care planning.
• Make independent decisions in solving complex patient care problems and coordinate care with health team members to achieve desired outcomes.
• Prescribe, order, and implement treatments and interventions for the care plan, dispensing drugs and devices in compliance with state and federal laws and governing boards.
• Utilize community resources and referrals to support patient care and outreach.

• Minimum 2 years of experience or commensurate training/experience in medical oncology.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Training Program or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) / Nurse Practitioner (NP).
• Licensed/certified and eligible to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Arizona or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Arizona.
• Certification in American Heart Basic Life Support (BLS).
