The Stylist engages guests, provides hair care consultations, recommends products and services, and supports the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager in achieving performance and compliance goals.

• Perform hair services including design, haircuts, color, texture, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing where applicable.
• Meet or exceed a sales goal of $800 average weekly sales and productivity goals while delivering exceptional guest service.
• Demonstrate business acumen and identify growth opportunities.
• Perform product demonstrations to drive sales.
• Support in‑store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed about industry trends and product benefits.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.

• Develop guest relationships through consultations and recommendations.
• Exhibit high standards of customer service and salon image.
• Serve all guests, including walk‑ins, in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with skin therapists and the retail team for a total store experience.
• Establish professional peer and brand partner relationships.
• Share benefits of the loyalty program, app, and credit with guests.
• Attend mandatory trainings and meetings for professional development.

• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures per state guidelines.
• Use established service protocols for a consistent guest experience.
• Utilize booking systems to schedule return services and events.
• Communicate supply needs to the Experience Manager.
• Maintain store operational standards, including cleanliness of salon, sales floor, restrooms, backroom, and break area.
• Adhere to the Ulta Beauty dress code.
• Protect company assets and provide exceptional guest service.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.

• Cosmetology license

• Previous relevant salon experience is preferred.

• Proficiency with latest salon techniques for cutting, coloring, lightening, styling, texturing, treatments, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing services.
• Proficiency with equipment and chemicals required for technical work.
• Ability to recommend and sell pro hair care and makeup products.
• Developed communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and clientele.

• Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Frequent mobility during shift.
• Continuous lifting and/or moving up to 10 lbs.
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, twisting, and crouching.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Continuous or frequent coordination and manipulation of objects.
