Private School Special Education Teacher

This position is school based, working on site within a small private special education day school.

Estrella Day School is a private special education school located in Goodyear, Az. We are currently seeking a certified Special Education Teacher to join our existing team of friendly teachers and learning coaches. We are a growing school who specialize in providing individualized instruction for each student. We make research‑based decisions along with an ABA and Therapeutic approach to enhance our student's education and quality of life.

Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and Physical/ Intellectual Disabilities. Knowledge, skills, and abilities (includes but not limited to):

• Provide direct or virtual services based on the students' individualized needs and educational plan, goals, and objectives.
• Develop and implement lesson plans, annual education plans, quarterly progress reports, behavior plans, and incident reports.
• Provide ongoing data collection and assessment reporting.
• Develop and maintain professional relationship with parents/caregivers through daily communication along with students, staff, and administrators.
• Provide supervision and direction to classroom learning coaches.
• Demonstrate knowledge of related subject matter, behavior intervention techniques, specialized curriculum, and resource materials.
• Work collaboratively with learning coaches, administrators, and therapists to ensure mastery level success for each individual student.
• Physically able to assist in behavior management, physical transports, and lifting as needed to help meet student limitations and ensure safety of students.
