Position: Family Law Paralegal (Hybrid in Madison, NJ) ( Full-Time )

Family Law Paralegal (Hybrid in Madison, NJ) (Full-Time)

Location:

Hybrid in Madison, New Jersey, with 4 days onsite and 1 day remote

Salary: $65K - $70K Base Salary

Must Haves
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a paralegal in family law.
  • Paralegal certificate or degree required; bachelor s degree preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of family law procedures, rules, and court filings.
  • Proficiency in legal software (e.g., Clio, Pro Law, or similar), Microsoft Office Suite, and e-filing systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, settlement agreements, and correspondence.
  • Assist with case management, including calendaring deadlines, maintaining case files, and tracking court dates.
  • Conduct legal research, gather and analyze information, and summarize findings for attorney review.
  • Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and witness lists; assist attorneys during hearings, trials, and mediations.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel professionally and promptly.
  • Manage document production and organize financial records, medical records, and other evidence for family law cases.
  • Assist in the preparation of child support and spousal support calculations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information at all times.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a paralegal in family law.
  • Paralegal certificate or degree required; bachelor s degree preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of family law procedures, rules, and court filings.
  • Proficiency in legal software (e.g., Clio, Pro Law, or similar), Microsoft Office Suite, and e-filing systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compassionate and professional demeanor when dealing with clients under challenging circumstances.
