Cheese Packager Operator-Gooding Idaho Plant
Day Shift - $19.00/hr.
Night Shift - $20.50/hr.
$500 Bonus Available - Temp or Temp - to - Hire Positions
Weekly Pay
Essential Functions
- Remove press plates from barrels
- Record barrel weights on each line
- Apply labeling as required by customer
- Ensure labels read accurate information
- Monitor the empty dolly conveyors and dolly pickers
- Ensure sample barrels are segregated appropriately
- Operate the vacuum sealers to seal cheese liners per SOP's
- Keep accurate barrel counts
- Keep accurate press plate count
- Maintain paperwork as needed
- Take sample in accordance with SOP's as required
- Communicate with the tower deck operator on the scale during cheese change over's
- Prepare carts to receive cheese
- Keep cheese liners stocked ready to use
- Assist in fetching and sanitizing of press plates
- Remove full carts and prepare for sealing
- Monitor cart return to ensure adequate supply of carts
- Operate the floor buffer during CIP
- Make CIP connections in tower mezzanine
- Foam equipment during CIP
- Regular and timely attendance required
- Computer experience helpful
- Must be dependable and trustworthy
- Must be accurate in taking samples and performing tests
- Get along and work well with people
- Cannot have any lifting restrictions
- Ability to operate (or learn to operate) necessary equipment
- Excellent record required in safety, attendance, and punctuality
- Ability to stand and walk the entire shift if needed
- Ability to read and write instructions in English
- Knowledge of the proper use of all cleaning chemicals
- Must be able to work weekends, and overtime as required

- Specific vision requirements for this job include close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point);
depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).
