Contractor - Shipping and Receiving Clerk; part-time

Redwire - Goleta is accelerating humanity's expansion into space through systems engineering that supports the design, development, integration, testing, and operations of science and exploration spacecraft. Space Systems Goleta also designs, builds, and tests flight hardware for earth orbiting as well as deep space spacecraft.

Contractor - Shipping/Receiving Clerk working part-time, 20-30 hours per week for 6 months at our facility in Goleta, CA. Responsible for ensuring materials are received from proper vendors, that they are delivered to inventory, and that finished goods are packaged according to specification and shipped in a timely manner. Reviews receipt of all materials to ensure purchase orders are open and the quality of materials received is correct.

• Maintain incoming inventory counts
• Check incoming product quality for incoming and outgoing product shipments
• Must have a valid drivers license to operate our company vehicle
• Load/unloading delivery trucks
• Check incoming shipments against product invoices
• Organizing and storing shipments until they receive outgoing order requests
• Notify management, program managers, Production or ME's when parts do not arrive on time
• Properly account for the location of incoming goods
• Assure no damaged items are sent or received
• Comparing packing lists to company purchase orders and ensuring that the products in each delivery match the packing list
• Update records as products are received and added to the inventory
• Package products for return to vendors and filling out any paperwork necessary
• Validate product quantities against invoices or purchase orders
• Work with Quality to validate incoming/outgoing Calibrated Tools
• Maintain records in accordance with audit regulations (AS9100 knowledge a plus)
• Manage couriers, trucking companies, and deliveries
• Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions and system generated reports or work instructions
• Completion of other assigned duties that fall under normal warehouse operations
• Be able to lift 50lbs.
• Must be able to work the following shift:
  Mon-Fri 6:30 am to 3:00 pm

• Previous import/export experience a plus
• 4 or more years of warehouse and/or receiving experience.
• 3 years' experience with an ERP system
• Previous experience with International Shipping and Export-Controlled shipments
• 3 years' experience using Office 365 (Excel knowledge a plus)
• Forklift certified
• US Citizen or US Person as defined by ITAR regulations

• Experience in AS9100 audits a plus
• Self-starter, who strives to continuously improve processes
• Work independently or part of a team
• Strong commitment to quality
• Works well under pressure (relating to clearing the receiving dock and processing paperwork in a timely manner)
• Effective/Strong communicator, oral and written
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Works with Programs to prioritize what needs to get through the receiving process.

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour (doesn t include agency mark-up)

Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.

Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
