Delivery Specialist at O’Reilly Auto Parts

Salary: $16.50 – $24.50 per hour (actual rate will meet or exceed local minimum wage; additional hourly premiums may apply).

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customer locations safely and efficiently.
• Use delivery fleet‑management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, update mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, and handheld devices; secure monetary collections and related items.
• Collect cash‑on‑delivery (C.O.D.) payments and pick up customer returns, including warranty, core, and other items, and fill out driver return slips.
• Communicate any customer issues or special needs to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel levels are adequate and secure the vehicle at the end of each shift.
• Clock in/out in accordance with company policy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, such as customer service, stocking, merchandising, and errands.
• Assist customers, serve as a cashier, and contribute to merchandising duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record that meets the company’s 14/18‑point system.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations.
• Proficiency in matching alphanumeric sequences quickly.
• Legally required state driver’s license; meet company driving eligibility requirements.

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate other light store equipment.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
