Overview

Gold's Gym SoCal Group is hiring an hourly Front Desk Manager to lead the front desk, Kids Club, and Housekeeping Associates, delivering world-class member service.

Responsibilities
  • Manage Operations team to ensure policies and procedures are followed at all times
  • Hire, train and supervise operations team members for the front desk, Kids Club and Housekeeping Associates
  • Serve as liaison with Corporate Customer Care and assist General Manager with member and/or operational issues
  • Responsible for cash deposits with GM sign-off; ensure daily deposits are made on time
  • Coordinate with cleaning team to maintain cleanliness and manage daily cleaning checklists
  • Work with GM to manage/process cancellations to retain members
  • Assist GM with Medallia to address member concerns promptly
  • Assist GM with bi-weekly payroll to ensure missed punches are corrected and submitted on time
  • Enforce club rules and promote proper procedures
  • Maintain staffing through reviewing applications, interviewing, and making hiring recommendations
  • Manage membership questions and inquiries; train staff to provide hospitality; lead by example
  • Conduct weekly meetings with direct reports to review performance and provide direction
Qualifications / Must Haves
  • Positive, upbeat, outgoing attitude
  • Passion for hospitality and excellence for members
  • Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced, goal-oriented environment without sacrificing service
  • Fitness industry experience (preferred)
  • Strong analytical, communication, delegation, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to create a positive environment; willingness for self-development
  • Ability to identify and use resources to improve operations
  • College degree preferred; CPR certification required
  • Ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs; standing/walking for extended periods; professional demeanor

Compensation

Compensation: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
