Medical Assistant
Cottage Health seeks a Clinical Support Medical Assistant, Navigation Center for their Navigation Center department responsible for telephone assessment of patient’s needs under the direction of Cottage Navigation Center Leadership. The role assists the clinical support nurses, Navigator Specialists, and Leads in the day‑to‑day call center functions to aid in an exceptional patient experience.
QualificationsAll job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently.
Education- Minimum:
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of equivalent work experience.
- Minimum:
Certified Medical Assistant in the state of California within 18 months of hire or transfer. - Preferred:
California State Certified Medical Assistant.
- Minimum:
Knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology, ability to understand, document, and keep records. Familiarity with MS Office, Microsoft Outlook, and Electronic Medical Records. - Preferred:
Experience with Epic and CRM.
- Minimum: 1 year of medical assistant experience in a clinic setting.
- Preferred:
Minimum of 3 years of medical scribe experience in a clinic or hospital setting. Experience using call center phone systems.
