- Lab experience with designing, building and testing quantum computers and their subcomponents in cryogenic environments.
- Understanding of how silicon, PCB, and mechanical fabrication methods impact physical design constraints.
- Familiarity with Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit (RFIC) design or the design of devices utilizing superconducting materials.
- Proficiency in Python-based software development, including library maintenance, version control, and collaborative coding practices.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities- Create and implement simulations to model microwave performance and loss mechanisms in superconducting Radio Frequency (RF)/microwave packaging and interconnects for quantum circuits, and analyze the causes of any differences between simulated results and actual performance.
- Design and conduct laboratory experiments to confirm the accuracy of simulation and modeling data.
- Interface with tool vendors to internally deploy increasingly capable simulation tools, interface between our team and the broader Electronic Computer Aided Design (ECAD) community.
- Develop and improve the integration of simulation into layout and design tools, define and document workflows and methodologies.
- Develop electromagnetic/microwave and multiphysics models to inform the design of quantum device packaging and signal delivery components (including 3D-integrated).
