Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Bilingual Psychologist to join our dynamic team at E-Therapy. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing culturally and linguistically responsive psychological services to students, supporting their academic achievement, social-emotional development, and mental health working onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations of students' cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning in both English and the target language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, etc.).
- Interpret assessment results and communicate findings to students, families, teachers, and school staff in a clear and culturally sensitive manner.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social-emotional concerns, behavioral challenges, and mental health issues impacting learning and well-being.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and community resources to develop and implement interventions and support plans to address students' needs.
- Conduct crisis intervention and provide support to students and families in times of crisis or emergency situations, collaborating with school staff and community resources as needed.
- Facilitate psycho educational workshops and presentations for students, parents, and school staff on topics such as stress management, coping skills, and cultural competence.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of psychological assessments, counseling sessions, consultation meetings, and other relevant documentation.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or related field from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or certification as a Psychologist.
- Certification or proficiency in the target language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, etc.).
- Previous experience working as a psychologist in a school or educational setting, preferably with bilingual and multicultural populations.
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, mental health issues, and evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with students, families, and school staff from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Proficiency in assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation.
- Experience in working with school systems (working onsite preferred).
