Description
The Cook s basic function is to prepare and cook food according to established procedures, recipes, menus, meal assignment, and diets.
Responsibilities- Prepares food.
- Follow Serv Safe sanitary policies and procedures for preparation, storage and service of food.
- Completes cleaning and sanitation assignments.
- Processes, stores, and utilizes leftover foods.
- Instructs and assists meal servers.
- Supports and promotes Wayne UNC Health Care s Guest Relations Policy.
- Supports Wayne UNC Health Care s Corporate Compliance efforts.
High School Diploma or equivalent required, any higher education from an accredited college will supersede this requirement.
Licensure/CertificationNot applicable
Experience- At least one year experience as a cook in an institutional/restaurant setting.

- Ability to speak, read, write and communicate effectively
Valid NC Driver s License:
No.
(If driving a Wayne UNC Vehicle, must be 21 years old and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.)
