Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position providing clinical nursing care on a night shift with a NC or compact RN license required.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit on the 6th floor
- Patient population includes adults requiring medical-surgical and telemetry care
- Night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am with a 3x12 schedule
- Assignment length is 13 weeks
- Responsible for delivering competent clinical care consistent with professional and organizational standards
- Involves patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation in collaboration with interdisciplinary team
- Expected to participate in professional growth, education, and performance improvement activities
- Must promote a safe and clean hospital environment at all times
- Emphasis on patient and family education, discharge planning, and continuity of care
- Background check and drug screening must be completed before starting, with prompt lab reporting required after acceptance
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a compact state
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC
- Minimum one year of nursing experience
- Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited program
