Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse provides professional, competent nursing care in a hospital setting. The role is accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director and responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process while ensuring alignment with professional standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Identify personal learning needs and attend relevant education programs
• Educate patients and assess learning readiness
• Establish and revise patient care plans and outcomes
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for continuity of care
• Provide safe, effective care for patients with complex medical needs
• Perform POC testing per hospital standards
• Prioritize and organize patient care activities; seek guidance for complex issues
• Maintain professional growth goals and support unit initiatives
• Communicate effectively and provide feedback to colleagues
• Promote safety, cleanliness, and cost-effective practices
• Participate in discharge planning and support patient/family advocacy
• Use multidisciplinary and culturally aware approaches in care planning
• Stay updated with best practices and contribute improvement ideas

Requirements

Required Skills/Experience

• Minimum 1 year RN experience

Education

Required

• Nursing Diploma OR
• ADN/ASN from an accredited nursing program

Preferred

• BSN or MSN

Certifications & Licensure

Required

• Active RN license - North Carolina
• BLS (AHA/ARC)
• ACLS (AHA/ARC)
• Compliance: NIHSS, CPI-A
