Staff Accountant

Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Goldsboro, North Carolina. This Contract to permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic aerospace industry environment while enhancing your skills. The ideal candidate will excel in managing accounts receivable, general ledger tasks, and cash postings, while also taking on responsibilities such as reconciliations and expense reporting.

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts receivable processes, including cash postings and follow-up on collections.

- Perform detailed general ledger accounting tasks with accuracy and efficiency.

- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data.

- Prepare and analyze expense reports to support financial decisions.

- Assist in preparing corporate tax returns and maintaining compliance with tax regulations.

- Post journal entries and review them for accuracy.

- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure seamless operations and reporting.

- Utilize Oracle software or similar systems to manage financial data effectively.

- Support the transition to new systems as needed, ensuring smooth integration.

- Work closely with the VP of Finance and Controller to address key financial priorities. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Proven experience in accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.

- Strong knowledge of corporate tax, sales tax, and related regulations.

- Proficiency in using Oracle or similar accounting software.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals.

- Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal stakeholders.

- Experience in the aerospace industry is a plus but not required.
