UNC WAYNE IS HIRING A HOSPITALIST IN GOLDSBORO, NC

UNC Health Wayne is looking for BC/BE hospitalists to join the growing Hospital Medicine program in Goldsboro, NC. This position involves delivering high-quality, team-based inpatient services. Goldsboro is located one hour east of Raleigh, the vibrant state capital, and 90 minutes from the NC coast. Schedule: 7am-7pm (7 days on and 7 days off)

UNC Wayne is a modern facility with 316 Acute Care Beds; 120+ year history

• 38 Emergency Beds
• 4 Trauma beds
• 4 Behavioral Health Beds
• 15 Bed ICU
• 8 Bed Labor and Delivery Unit
• 26 Bed Nursery
• 22 Bed Behavioral Health Unit
• Closed ICU

EMR: EPIC

Deliver high-quality, team-based inpatient services as part of the Hospital Medicine program.

• Graduated from an accredited Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy school
• Internal Medicine Residency preferred
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE)
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in North Carolina

Education Requirements: Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.

Licensure/Certification Requirements: Board Certified Internal Medicine; DEA; ACLS; MD.

Professional Experience Requirements: Prefer prior hospitalist experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Language skills:
English proficiency.

Reasoning Ability: High-level quantitative and qualitative reasoning skills are essential to diagnose medical and clinical issues presented by patients.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: North Carolina Medical License, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification preferred. Board certified in Internal Medicine.

Physical Demands: See description; reasonable accommodations available. Typical duties require sitting, handling, talking/listening; occasional standing, walking, kneeling, bending. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment: Medical office setting with typically moderate noise. Reasonable accommodations available; high-level reasoning needed for clinical issues.
