Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly
- Hourly Pay: $29.87 per hour
- Additional Pay: $2.50 per hour when assigned to third shift
- Schedule:
Monday-Friday from 10:00pm-6:00am - Training on days for 3 months (6am to 2pm) after starting

The hourly rate for this position is $29.87 an hour. Employees may also be eligible for Shift Premium.
In accordance with collective bargaining agreements and/or as business conditions allow, pay may be supplemented with a Shift differential. Requirements- High School diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrate predictable, reliable, and timely attendance
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions to complete assigned tasks on schedule
- Read, write, and communicate in English & understand basic math
- Ability to learn from directions, observations, and mistakes and apply procedures using good judgment
- Class E - standard driver's license for personal vehicles
- Safety Sensitive Position, Non-Regulated Tech
Important Note:
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
- Complete on the job training and assessment
- Read switching orders from designated person
- Assist the engineer with sending radio and hand signals in yard or in the cab
- Read and interpret signals, shift turnovers, and railroad rules and regulations to assist with engineer operating the locomotive, following safety rules and regulations and time schedule
- Talk to crew or other yard workers via radio to give or receive switching information
- Confere with train dispatcher via radio to issue or receive information or instructions concerning stops, delays, or oncoming trains
- Throw switches or perform other activities involved when performing switching operations
- Turn hand brake wheel or ratchet type brake and tie handbrakes
- Observe track to detect obstructions
- Inspect locomotive after run to detect damaged or defective equipment
- Maintain records, number, origin, destination, and cargo of cars switched
- May coordinate activities of switching crew from locomotive cab
- Raise coupling lever to couple or uncouple cars
- Throw track switches to facilitate shunting of cars and signal Engineer to move cars, using lantern, arm signals or radio
- Climb ladder to side of car, ride side of car, and turn hand wheel to set brakes or to control the speed of the car when it has been shunted
- Connect air hose to cars when making up trains by bending and applying force
- May walk along cars and check between them to inspect couplings, air hoses
- Sit or ride in cab of locomotive to observe signals from other crew members
- May make minor repairs to couplings, or air hoses, and report any equipment requiring major repairs
- Perform other duties as assigned
