• Hourly pay: $29.87 per hour
• Shift differential: $4.00 per shift
• Loyalty bonus: $1,750 at 6 and 12 months
• Weekly average pay: approximately $1,400 (up to $1,900 during peak season)
• Hours per week: 40+ (OT required)
• Schedule:
  
  5 days on, 2 days off
• Start time: 9:45 PM

• Deliver solo to yard & shuttling within 3 miles
• Route: local home daily
• Tractor type: day cab
• Trailer type: dry van 53’
• Freight: no touch – yard switching
• Strong backing skills required (90% of job)

• Uniforms and boot allowance provided
• Paid personal time off: starts day 1 (80 hours accrued in first year); unused PTO paid out at hourly rate

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from last 3 years
• Pass DOT physical
• Pass Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within past 3 years OR
  • 2 years experience within last 5 years OR
  • 5 years experience within last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, a road test, and/or badge or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
