The Retail Service Specialist will support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This position will also assume shift management responsibilities in the absence of an Assistant Manager or Store Manager. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Compensation Pay Range

$14.81 – $21.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual and/or quarterly performance bonuses or premiums, which may be paid in varying amounts per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Job Functions
  • Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
  • Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, overseeing team member execution of customer service programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, and Rock the Lot.
  • Ensure the telephone is answered in accordance with company policy.
  • Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store‑to‑store transfers, and DC add orders promptly, and notify customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.
  • Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure, using the electronic outside purchase order ledger.
  • Process retail customer returns and exchanges in an efficient, friendly manner. Issue refunds accurately using the correct payment methods and stage returned merchandise in the returns area correctly.
  • Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before products leave the store.
  • Communicate Zipline messages and delegate and complete Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure team members adhere to the posted work schedule, that changes or deviations are approved by management, and that members clock in/out per company policy.
  • Perform all store opening and closing duties, including day‑end procedures, securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring security lights are on, locking doors, arming/disarming security alarms, and securing delivery vehicles in designated areas.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities

Required:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain RSS Certification.

Desired:

  • Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
  • Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
  • ASE Certification.
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
