Registered Nurse – Jefferson County Detention Facility
We are looking for a Registered Nurse to provide quality nursing care in Golden, Colorado at a Jefferson County Detention Facility. The role is part‑time and on‑call (PRN) with flexible schedules.

A Registered Nurse (RN) delivers quality care in accordance with local state nurse practice acts, delegates responsibilities, oversees nursing activities, ensures safety for patients and staff, and advocates for high‑quality health care.

- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- At least 1 year of experience in an acute care setting
- Active Registered Nurse licence in Colorado
- CPR certification
Knowledge of state laws and regulations governing practice - Completion of initial and annual clinical competencies
- Maintain accurate reports and records
- Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions and side effects
- Record patient medical information and vital signs
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patient condition
- Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members for patient‑care plans
- Modify treatment plans based on patient responses
- Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity
- Direct or supervise less‑skilled nursing or healthcare personnel or supervise a unit
- Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments
- Provide health education, disease prevention, and childbirth instruction to individuals, families, or groups
- Prepare rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies; maintain stock levels
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient condition
- Additional duties as assigned by facility
