Subsurface Utility Engineering Intern

Join T2 Utility Engineers in Golden, CO to play an integral role managing utility risk for our clients and their projects. The SUE Intern will work closely with Project Engineers and Project Managers. This position may provide opportunities for field work throughout Colorado.

T2 Utility Engineers specializes in providing reliable underground and above-ground utility information to reduce the risks that utilities present for infrastructure projects. T2ue helps clients manage the complexity of existing utilities with our professional and comprehensive Subsurface Utility Engineering, Utility Coordination, and Surveying services.

• Prepare project permits, specifications, and other miscellaneous submittals
• Communicate with utility companies and design team members
• Reach out to Utility Owners for utility records and review utility as-built drawings
• Attend design team meetings
• Execute quality assurance/quality control procedures in accordance with company standards
• Develop data tables, reports, and presentation materials.
• Update plan sheets with direction from engineer
• Support subsurface engineering, survey, and data collection field efforts.
• Assist with meeting material preparation, minutes, and distribution.
• Organize and maintain revisions of project drawings and project-related information.
• Assist Project Managers with miscellaneous work

• 0-3 years of civil design, geophysical, and/or survey experience
• Close attention to detail, quality processes, and safety procedures
• Strong oral and written communication
• Flexibility and willingness to learn new processes and tasks
• Proficient in Word, Excel and PDF/Bluebeam Editor
• Valid driver's license
• Student of Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
• Colorado Engineering Intern (E.I. or 'EIT') license preferred or plan to obtain EIT license
