Position OverviewThe Patch Crew Foreman will be responsible for leading and supervising a small crew in addition to being an operator on the crew. The crew will patch asphalt, adjust manholes and water valves, clean and patch under guardrails, and assist with all activities associated with construction projects.
Wage Range: $41.00 - $44.00 per hourKey Responsibilities (Essential Duties And Functions)
- Supervise and coordinate activities of the crew.
- Ensures safety standards and guidelines are followed on jobsite, company property, and equipment.
- Daily reports personnel, production, quantities, equipment utilized.
- Remove rough or defective spots from asphalt surfaces and patch holes.
- Smooth and shape surfaces of freshly poured concrete and asphalt.
- May be required to use pressure washer and/or sandblasting equipment.
- Identify, understand, and report safety hazards, poor behavior, and unsafe actions immediately.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- 3 years of experience in aggregate, asphalt, or construction industry, preferred.
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Willingness to work independently within a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends, when necessary.
- Compliance with all OSHA and/or MSHA regulations.
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required (less than 10% of the time).
- Knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications.
- Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently under a variety of working conditions.
- Ability to recognize hazardous conditions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced and complex environment, as well as being able to work independently with attention to detail.
