Job Description:
This Sample Coordinator contract role is within the Integrated Operations Consumer Experience Team (CET) at company and supports the stability (shelf-life testing) function. Under the direction of the lab lead, the individual in this role will assist with stability project work, including the movement and sample handling of stability samples, labeling and other related tasks to ensure the business needs of our internal and external customers are accurately met.
This is an on-going, 20-25 hr/wk, 3-4 day/wk position, Monday-Thursday, first shift hours (between 7am-3pm) held on-site at the James Ford Bell Technical Center in Golden Valley, MN. Candidates must be within daily commuting distance to this location. Agency provided or personal technology will be used for this position.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Accountable for all aspects of stability sample movement (chambers, to prep lab and stability panel staging area).
- Inventory samples.
- Ship samples.
- Monitor temperature of chambers.
- LIMS software interaction to print labels, input data, as needed.
- Provide service excellence and reliable operations.
- Maintain Medallion firewall and confidentiality for all external projects.
- Demonstrate agility by supporting cross-functional needs.
- Lead with safety in the execution of all work.
- Other sample handling and lab tasks as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
2-year degree or High School diploma with 3+ years of related experience.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and service orientation are essential.
Skillfully handle multiple tasks, projects, and priorities with direction.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrate ability to quickly learn and apply new applications.
Comfortable walking in and out of stability chamber conditions (warm, humid, cold, etc.) and being on your feet while working.
Willingness to complete basic, routine, and repetitive tasks to meet business requests.
On occasion, have flexibility with work schedule.
Must have computer application knowledge and possess the ability to learn software.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
B.S. Degree in Food Science or any degree related to food industry or lab experience (Preffered).
