Safety Training Modernization Lead (ONSITE)
Duration: 6-12 Months
Candidate must reside in or within daily commuting distance of the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. This is an on-site position at the James Ford Bell Technical Center in Golden Valley, MN. Personal or agency provided technology will be used for this assignment. The position is full-time for 6-12 months. Schedule will be 8 hr/day between 7:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Hybrid flexibility may be available some days depending on work type and with approval.
Job SummaryThis Safety Training Modernization Lead supports the HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) team by executing safety training modernization initiatives, including safety training content development, training inventory and gap analysis, role/ task/ area training matrix creation, and risk-based prioritization. This role plays a critical part in establishing a scalable, compliant, and automation-ready safety training framework aligned with
*** training standards merged with the complexity of an R&D and Pilot Plant environment.
This position is execution-focused and requires strong safety judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to partner across multiple functions including L&D (Learning and Development), IT and subject matter experts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Modernize and update approved safety training content
- Develop and maintain role/task/area-based training matrices
- Conduct training inventories, gap analyses, and rationalization
- Support risk-based prioritization aligned to SIF/SEI and regulatory requirements
- Partner with internal HSE, L&D and IT stakeholders
- Support development of training governance and system readiness
- Ensure documentation quality, consistency and audit readiness
- 2-year Degree or High School Degree with 5+ years of directly relatable experience
- Prior Health, Safety and Environment and/or Environmental experience
- Experience working in manufacturing, pilot plant and/or laboratory environments, preferably in the food Client industry
- Strong understanding of hazard-based safety training concepts
- Experience developing, updating or managing training content
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training workflows
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Power Point
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines
- Self-starter with minimal supervision required
- Detail oriented with strong documentation discipline
- Ability to partner and collaborate effectively across teams and functions
