Delivery Driver

About the role

Home Delivery Driver for Sainsbury’s. You will be responsible for delivering groceries to customers’ doorsteps in a 3.5 tonne van.

• Drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition.
• Check the van is organised, clean, roadworthy, and delivery cases are secured before each trip.
• Serve customers brilliantly, support with questions and substitutions, and keep them updated on delays.
• Build knowledge of products, services and promotions to provide recommendations.
• Assist with store tasks as needed when not delivering.

• Age 18 or over.
• Full UK/EU driving licence held for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Complete an online driving risk assessment; successful candidates will undertake a driving assessment when they join.

• Friendly and welcoming with genuine enthusiasm for customer service.
• Proficient driving a large vehicle in a variety of traffic conditions.
• Fast‑paced, flexible, able to work weekends and times across the day.
• Comfortable with digital tools and able to lift up to 15 kg.
