Ian Williams Ltd is looking for a Working Foreperson to join our Response/Maintenance team based in the Waverley area.

As a Working Foreperson, you will lead a team of Trade Operatives delivering repairs and maintenance services to our customers’ properties.

Competitive basic salary of £42,871 with the potential to earn up to £46,927

The Working Foreperson Role
  • Lead, coach and develop a successful, high‑performing Operative team, supporting them on site to deliver work to a high quality standard.
  • Utilise your IT skills by producing and reviewing productivity reports, confirming weekly timesheets and engaging with customers and the client.
  • Undertake multi‑trade work including plumbing, patch plastering, tiling, and carpentry repair works in a domestic setting, utilising problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Typical repairs can include broken taps, leaking pipes, drainage unblocks, and general kitchen and bathroom repair work.
  • Ensure our clients’ properties are ready for handover, working to deadlines and managing time frames to ensure transitions run smoothly.
What You Will Bring As a Working Foreperson
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant trade.
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully leading an on‑site team.
  • Ideally experience of working within a domestic / social housing environment, or relevant response environment experience (albeit not essential).
  • Having a passion for making a difference to people’s homes, strong values in delivering exceptional customer service skills, and enjoy working with people.
  • Driving license, with eligibility to drive in the UK.
