Charterhouse is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, well-qualified and inspiring
Teacher of Physics
to join our dynamic and thriving Science faculty from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to teach Physics across a broad age and ability range in a leading co-educational independent school, with the possibility of contributing to an additionalscience subject depending on experience.
Physics at Charterhouse is a vibrant and successful department, supported by experienced technicians and excellent facilities following the refurbishment of the Observatory Building. Pupils study separate sciences at IGCSE, and many continue with Physics at A Level and within the IB Diploma Programme, with strong participation in Olympiads, competitions and wider academic enrichment.
We are looking for a teacher with strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom practice and the ability to inspire curiosity, confidence and enjoyment in Physics. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute fully to the academic, pastoral and co-curricular life of the School, including acting as a tutor and supporting the wider opportunities available to pupils in a boarding environment.
