We are recruiting for After School Club Childcare Playwork Assistants at our after school club at Godalming Junior School in Godalming, Surrey (GU7).

These part‑time roles are term‑time only, working Monday to Thursday from 2:50 pm to 6:00 pm.

The role
:
As an After School Club Assistant, you will actively and enthusiastically assist the After School Club Manager in the safe and organised running of the club.

• Assist the After School Club Manager in the safe and organised running of the club.
• Prepare, serve and tidy away snack time.
• Maintain awareness of and sensitivity for children with additional needs (physical, behavioural, dietary).
• Develop a thorough understanding of relevant Ofsted standards, KOOSA Kids internal policies and procedures, including safeguarding.
• Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day.
• This role suits someone with experience in a Primary School, Pre‑School or Nursery (e.g. Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator, Nursery Assistant) or someone looking to move into the childcare industry.

• Passion or interest in working within a childcare, early years or playwork setting.
• Inspirational, bringing fun and creativity to the team.
• Energetic, fun‑loving nature.
• Reliable and enthusiastic.
• Able to relate and engage with children aged 4‑11 years.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to motivate others to deliver to the highest standard.
• Clearable for an enhanced DBS check.

• Full training and inductions will be provided to all After School Club Assistants.

Monday to Thursday, 2:50 pm – 6:00 pm, term‑time only.
