We are currently recruiting for Victim & Restorative Justice Worker to join our Youth Justice Service team on a permanent basis.

About Us

Gloucestershire Youth Justice Service (YJS) are looking for a compassionate, motivated and skilled Victim & Restorative Justice Worker to join our multi‑disciplinary team. This is a unique opportunity to support victims of youth crime, champion their voices, and deliver restorative interventions that help repair harm and enable children to take positive steps forward. We want a youth justice system that is fair and inclusive, reduces social disadvantage, and ensures that victims of crime, and the communities of Gloucestershire feel supported and safe.

As a multi-disciplinary service, the YJS endeavours to deliver high-quality support to children and victims through the operationalisation of the ‘Child First’ framework’, one that recognises each child’s stories, needs and unique strengths, and provides interventions that are constructive, future-focused, empowering children to move forward with a positive identity. About

You

As a Victim & Restorative Justice Worker, you will:

  • Provide timely, trauma‑informed, person‑centred support to victims of youth crime.
  • Assess risk, needs and suitability for restorative justice interventions.
  • Deliver a wide range of restorative approaches including conferencing, mediation, indirect reparation and community‑based solutions.
  • Promote and advocate for the voice and rights of victims throughout the youth justice process, including contributing to Pre‑Sentence Reports.
