Training will not just be in a classroom; it will be a mixture of on‑the‑job learning, desk‑based and online learning, which will help you progress towards achieving an NVQ Level 2 in Highways Electrical Installations (led by LANTRA), then the NVQ Level 3, and finally all sector‑based certifications such as ECS and the National Highways Sector Scheme (NHSS) Chapter 8.
Who you areYou will naturally have an intrigue and interest in field‑based Engineering, and ideally already have some exposure to anything Electrical Installations focussed – whether that’s working with electrical equipment, lighting, controllers, detection boxes, etc., or you’ve had some experience in a college course. If you don’t have experience and are keen to start a new career, we encourage you to apply.
