Cleaning Supervisor – Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services

Salary: £13.85 / hour

Hours: 8 hours per day

Shift Pattern: 6 am to 2 pm, 4 on / 2 off

Contract: Permanent

Locations:
Churchdown, Lydney, Yate, Barnsley, Gloucester

• Work within a warehouse environment as part of the cleaning and waste team.
• Supervise and operate specific equipment, cleaning practices and use of chemicals according to correct operational guidelines.
• Carry out daily and weekly checks of all machinery, reporting any faults to the Site Manager.
• Ensure that all Health & Safety is understood and adhered to, liaise with the Site Manager on shift operation.
• Help monitor the waste produced using weekly checklists and monitoring procedures.
• Review and verify that equipment is kept clean and that equipment and materials are secured when not in use.
• Undertake any cleaning and ad‑hoc duties according to the needs of the business.
• Deal with customer complaints, attend appropriate training sessions and ensure awareness of statutory fire and safety regulations.

Previous supervisor experience, good customer focus and service skills, ability to prioritise workload effectively and good organisational skills. Should be able to work independently, with good awareness of Health and Safety legislation. Communicative English is essential, and may be required to take an English language assessment. Must complete a Basic Disclosure (DBS Check) and undergo a drug and alcohol screening test.
