Plasma grinder

We're currently recruiting an experienced Grinder for a long-term opportunity in Gloucester (GL4). If you have a strong background operating grinding machines and want a stable, well-paid role within a busy engineering environment, we want to hear from you!

Up to £20.50 per hour (paid via an umbrella company)

Hours:

Monday-Friday

Start Date:

ASAP
Duration: 6 months (can be extended)

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience operating grinders in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Confident using surface, cylindrical, and internal grinding machines
Ability to set up and adjust machines for varied specifications
Strong understanding of grinding processes, precision tolerances, and surface finishes
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team
Good communication and awareness of safety and quality procedures

Desirable:

Experience with CNC grinding machines
Understanding of 5S or lean manufacturing principles
