Moog Aircraft Group is seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Tool Technician to join our Maintenance team in Tewkesbury on a permanent night shift. In this hands‑on role, you’ll be responsible for the repair and preventative maintenance of mechanical and electrical machine tools that support our advanced manufacturing and test operations.

You’ll work closely with the Maintenance Team Lead and collaborate with Equipment Maintenance Technicians to ensure production‑critical systems are operating safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with quality standards.

What you’ll be responsible for:
  • Delivering preventative maintenance and repair support for machine tool equipment, with backup support for test systems
  • Ensuring all repairs meet internal and external audit standards, leaving equipment calibrated and production‑ready
  • Managing parts procurement and inventory to enable timely, cost‑effective maintenance
  • Maintaining accurate risk assessments and adhering to health and safety protocols
  • Participating in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives across work areas

  • You’ll support a site with over 150+ test systems and manage up to 10 concurrent support activities
  • You’ll be part of a collaborative, high‑performance maintenance team that values precision, reliability, and teamwork
  • You’ll help resolve time‑sensitive issues under pressure, requiring strong communication and problem‑solving skills
What you’ll bring:
  • A vocational qualification in engineering and 5+ years experience in hydraulic, mechanical, or mechatronic roles
  • Familiarity with electronic circuits and machine tool diagnostics
  • Knowledge of robotics systems (advantageous)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with Indysoft, Teamcenter, PIRANA is a plus
  • A proactive, trustworthy approach with high personal standards and a commitment to team success
