Interim Head of Housing & Support

Day rate: £400 per day

Duration: 2 months

An experienced Head of Housing and Support is required for an interim assignment covering services across the West Midlands and Bristol. The postholder will provide visible leadership to a team of 5, ensuring high-quality housing management and support services are delivered to residents and service users.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead, manage and motivate a team of 5 to deliver effective housing management and support services.
• Oversee day-to-day operations across schemes in the West Midlands and Bristol, maintaining compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Drive performance on core housing management functions including voids, repairs and planned maintenanace.
• Ensure support services are person-centred, outcomes-focused and aligned with contract and commissioning requirements.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, commissioners, local authorities and partner agencies.
• Provide clear reporting on performance, risks and service improvements over the duration of the assignment.

Essential experience:

• Proven track record in a senior housing role, such as Head of Housing, Housing Manager or similar, within social housing and supported housing.
• Strong experience of both support services and housing management, including managing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience of managing services across multiple locations and working with a range of external stakeholders.
• Ability to hit the ground running in a short-term interim role, providing stability and direction to the team.

Assignment details:

• Interim contract for approximately 2 months.
• £400 per day (inside IR35/umbrella, subject to agreement).
• Covering services across the West Midlands and Bristol, with travel between sites as required.
