Job description:

Logistics done differently. Were currently recruiting for a Site Manager to head up our shared-user transport operations in Gloucester. Youll be responsible for the operational and financial performance of the site, taking ownership of vehicles and staff as we provide a seamless service to the network and our customers. We operate the site with a mixed fleet of 43 vehicles and a team of around 75 people across the 24/5 operation.

Pay, benefits and more:
Were looking to offer a salary of up to £67,000 per annum, a monthly car allowance and bonus. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What youll do on a typical day:
Oversee the successful implementation of the contract and supporting functions, ensuring regular customer updates on progress and delivery Develop and identify KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives for the contract to ensure high productivity and return Lead regular health and safety and compliance meetings to ensure that all vehicles and equipment are in line with regulations and are safe to operate Build and develop an effective management team for long term success What you need to succeed at XPO: A management CPC qualification is essential Experience managing a transport & warehouse contract within a closed book environment or general haulage An effective understanding of budgets and P&L The ability to communicate effectively with all customers and stakeholders Be part of something big.
