- Manage a varied caseload involving contentious probate matters.
- Advise clients on disputes related to wills, estates, and trusts.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including statements of case and correspondence.
- Conduct legal research to support case strategies.
- Represent clients in hearings and conferences.
- Collaborate with senior colleagues on complex cases.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
- Ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.
- Participate in business development and client relationship activities.
- Qualified Solicitor registered in England and Wales NQ +
- Solid background within disputes resolution ideally dealing with contentious probate matters.
- Experience contributing to business development initiatives and fostering strong client relationships and a willingness to attend networking events.
- Ideally you will be a member of the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists but this is not essential.
- A confident and approachable communicator, able to provide clear and empathetic advice to clients on complex issues relating to wills, estates, and trusts.
- Excellent drafting and writing skills.
- Proactive and analytical when conducting legal research to support case strategies, demonstrating critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable representing clients in hearings, conferences, and other legal proceedings, with the confidence to advocate effectively in court.
- A collaborative team player, working well with senior colleagues on complex cases, and open to feedback and further development.
- Highly organised and diligent, with a proven ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date client records while meeting legal deadlines.
- Results-driven and client-focused, able to balance legal expertise with a practical understanding of clients' needs and expectations.
