Our client, a leading organisation within the IT services sector, is hiring a Senior IT Support Engineer to provide high-level technical support across a diverse customer environment.
This role offers the opportunity to act as a senior escalation point, contribute to service improvement, and support the delivery of reliable, secure IT services.
This is a hands-on role combining advanced troubleshooting with customer engagement, working across modern workplace, infrastructure, and cloud technologies.
What you’ll do
Act as a senior escalation point for complex 2nd and 3rd line support issues
Diagnose and resolve incidents across Windows, Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, and security platforms
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers
Deliver technical changes, upgrades, and minor project work in line with best practice
Maintain accurate documentation, knowledge articles, and support handovers
Support out-of-hours work on a rota basis, including occasional evenings and weekends
You’ll work closely with service delivery, project teams, and customers to ensure a high-quality support experience and continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for
Strong experience in a senior IT support or infrastructure support role
Proven troubleshooting skills across Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Azure, and Active Directory
Experience supporting virtualised environments (VMware or Hyper-V)
Solid understanding of networking, backup, and security fundamentals
Excellent communication skills with the ability to support non-technical users
