Cygnet Alders Clinic is a 20 bed rehabilitation service providing assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for women with personality disorder and complex needs.

At Cygnet Alders Clinic we provide a specialist psychologically informed personality disorder pathway across three living areas;
Severn, for assessment and stabilisation;
Avon, where service users move as they engage and progress with their treatment pathway; and Coln, which focuses on transitioning to the community.

Summary of the site

Youll be working part-time hours at Cygnet Alders, a 20 bed rehabilitation service providing assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for females with a personality disorder and have a specialist skill in working with those who are, or may be autistic.

We provide a specialist psychologically informed personality disorder pathway, looking to be the least restrictive whilst balancing safety. Our serv ice users move through our three wards, as they increase their therapeutic engagement on our programme of care, and progress with a focus on transitioning to the community. We are proud of our achievements and work closely with our family carers and community teams.

Main duties of the job

The Occupational Therapy Assistant role involves planning and implementing therapeutic activities appropriate to the needs, choices and interests of individuals in our care, under the supervision and guidance of a qualified Occupational Therapist.

The Occupational Therapy Assistant will also be working with the in-house MDT which is designed to support the individual in our care throughout their journey with us.

Occupational Therapy Directorate

Under the leadership of our occupational therapy directors we support over 150 Occupational Therapists and over 160 OT support staff. Working together as a large team we provide support to each other across the group, with the opportunity to be part of specialist interest groups & become involved in service development.

Every service line has a clinical lead occupational therapist to lead and develop evidence based practice and agreed occupational therapy pathway.

We ensure our occupational therapy team members have a voice through participating in service model development, utilising the expertise and support of our clinical lead occupational therapists.
