Gloucestershire County Council is recruiting two Locum Adult Social Workers to join its Gloucester Locality Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a progressive local authority that values strengths-based practice and meaningful engagement with adults and their communities.

In this role, you will work closely with adults across Gloucestershire, taking the time to understand what matters most to them and supporting them to live as independently as possible, with or without formal services.

You will help individuals navigate change, manage periods of crisis, and regain stability and control over their lives. Practice is underpinned by the Three Conversations model, with a strong focus on listening first, building trusted relationships, recognising individual strengths, and connecting people to community resources and preventative support.

You will work collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver proportionate, person-centred solutions that promote wellbeing and long-term independence.

• Registration with Social Work England

• ASYE completed or a minimum of 2 years' statutory Adult Social Care experience

• Experience working within multi-agency environments, including court-related work

• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, theories and practice models

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (reasonable adjustments considered)

• Strengths-based, relationship-focused practice culture

• Supportive locality team with clear frameworks

• Competitive locum rate up to 35.00 per hour (Umbrella)
