About your roleAs a Support Worker, you will be supporting individuals with complex needs such as Autism, Learning Disabilities, challenging behaviours, physical disabilities, and Mental Health conditions.

Role Responsibilities
- Encourage the people we support to participate in activities or follow their interests, this will involve assisting them in the community as well as helping them to attend appointments.
- Assisting people to be as independent as they can, whether this be supporting them to learn to cook or prompting them to develop personal care skills
- Encourage the people we support to follow their personal planned strategies to maintain their emotional wellbeing and mental health.
- Ensure all records are update and procedures are followed at all times

- Role Requirements
- A good communicator and listener
- A desire to support individuals with complex needs.
- Good basic comprehension of English language including basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- An ability to remain calm and level-headed even when faced with challenging behaviours.
- A commitment to constantly providing the highest standards of care for the people that we support.
- At least 6 months experience of working with people with Learning disabilities and Mental Health
- Experience working with individuals with mental health conditions and learning disabilities
- Level 2 in health and social care
