Job Summary
The post may be offered as 30 hours per week or a job share, with potential to offer full‑time hours for the right candidate. An exciting opportunity for a highly skilled practitioner psychologist to work with adults with psychosis and bipolar disorder, expanding psychological provision across Gloucestershire.
About the RoleWorking across community teams you will provide direct clinical care and lead and supervise teams in psychological approaches, driving the development of services for people with psychosis. You will play a key role in service development, quality improvement, and working within the Trust’s psychosis pathways.
Responsibilities- Provide specialist psychological formulation, assessment and direct care as part of MDTs.
- Supervise, provide reflective practice and consultation/advice to colleagues and teams.
- Contribute to quality improvement and service development, including research and teaching.
- Lead work streams on psychological approaches to care within developing psychosis pathways.
- Line‑manage, supervise and support other psychological professionals, assistants and trainees.
- Provide highly‑specialist advice and consultancy to staff, teams and patients, with direct responsibility for the provision of psychological services.
- Work across sites in Gloucester, Cheltenham and the wider county, with a flexible work pattern.
- Appropriate professional registration (HCPC or equivalent).
- Experience working with adults with severe mental health problems and psychosis.
- Experience in an adult mental health MDT.
- Hold a driving licence.
- Ability to participate in all mandatory and statutory training.
- Current UK professional registration.
- Driving licence.

- CBT‑Psychosis or Family Therapy qualifications.
- Experience as a care coordinator.
- Experience working at a highly specialist level.
