Our Disabled Children’s Team is dedicated to improving outcomes for children and young people and their families. We work collaboratively across social care and health to provide high quality support.
We have an opportunity to recruit an experienced Finance Officer who is organised and proactive to join us on a fixed term basis for one year, to support our work on financial accuracy, tracking and reporting of our financial commitments. This will include supporting finance related panels for short breaks, direct payments and all activities that are commissioned for our young people.
Duties- Supporting the tracking of all financial records and ensuring meaningful accurate data is captured at a child level
- Produce regular financial reports
- Alongside the Strategic Finance Team, understand and monitor budgets
- Identify anomalies, resolve financial queries and escalate any concerns to maintain financial integrity
- Support high-cost panels
- Contribute to service audits
You will have proven finance reporting and analytical skills, have an AAT qualification and be able to manage your workload to meet deadlines. Ideally you will have experience of working within children’s services, social care, education or the public sector.
